Tanglin Consultancy Ltd is a New Zealand-owned IT services company based at 12 Mayfair Crescent, Mairangi Bay, Auckland 0630. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and in the course of doing business, in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site – for example to book a free IT review – we collect the details you provide: your name, business name, email address, phone number and anything you write in your message. We also hold information you share with us by phone or email.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics tools that collect information about how visitors use the site: the pages you view, how you arrived here, your approximate location (city level), and the type of device and browser you use. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, carry out the free IT review if you request one, deliver and support our services, and keep in touch about work we are doing for you. We use website analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it. We do not sell your information to anyone, and we will not add you to a marketing list without your consent.

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website: Google (analytics), Microsoft (analytics), Web3Forms (secure delivery of form submissions to our email) and hCaptcha (spam prevention). Some of these providers store data on servers outside New Zealand, including in the United States. Where information is held overseas, we only use providers that are subject to privacy safeguards comparable to those in the New Zealand Privacy Act.
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access – it is, after all, what we do for a living. We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, and then securely delete it.
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is wrong. To do either, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 20 working days.
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first – we will do our best to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz or on 0800 803 909.
